Let’s discuss the GUT ↔️ BRAIN connection. Your gut is also known as your second brain. 🧠 Do you know why?
70-80% of your immune system lives within your gut. The bacteria in your gut use some of the same neurochemicals that relay messages to the brain. 🤯
Digestion is CRITICAL and most people do not understand the importance of enzymes. Enzymes play vital roles in the body and one of the main roles is they break food down to the smallest molecule so your body can absorb all the nutrients from the food you eat, while eliminating the rest.
Unfortunately as we age, it’s natural to find that individuals struggle with enzyme deficiency. Our bodies then need to overcompensate and use more energy just to process the food we’re eating.
Ask anyone who has gotten older and you’ll find that typically after they eat they may feel
❌ Fatigued
❌ Bloated
❌ Irregular
This is why adding a plant-based enzyme 💊 into your daily regimen can make a 🌎 of difference to the body. Enzymes have been a staple in my life for the last _________(share timeframe) and my gut has never been so happy!
Now let’s add on the issues surrounding mental health today. Around 1 out of 5 adults will experience some form of mental health issues in a given year. And a lot of mental health issues could be linked to an unhealthy gut microbiome.
Serotonin, aka the happy chemical 😃, is a hormone and neurotransmitter that helps with regulation of mood. Up to 95% of serotonin is made in your gut, so it’s no wonder why we see these mental health challenges! 🤷🏻♀️ What’s going on in the gut easily influences your mood.
Cleaning up and focusing on the root cause 👉🏼 THE GUT 👈🏼 can lead to helping in other situations.
If you struggle with your mood, remember it might not all be in your head, but rather the garbage that’s sitting in your gut. 😉
