Caption (copy/paste):

I learned a new thing about myself recently.

I’m a procrastinator. Well that’s not new info. But hang with me. 😆

In his book High Performance Habits, Brendon Burchard says that people who procrastinate tend to more productive. 😉

This is me.  I’m a procrastinator from waaaaaaay back. Anyone else? 🙋‍♀️

But I always got the thing done, and done well. When there was a deadline that is. 😬

Yes when I have a deadline, I might wait and put off that thing but I always get it done in time.

💫👇🏼💫👇🏼💫👇🏼💫👇🏼💫

But, and here’s the thing I learned, when there’s no deadline, I put it off and put it off and put it off UNTIL it overwhelms my brain and I feel defeated or stressed. 🤪🙄

WHHHHYYYYY!?!?!

When I realized the root of some of my overwhelm was simply not following through on simple tasks, I decided to DO THE DANG THING (my new favorite phrase).

👉🏼I made the appointment.
👉🏼I made the phone call.
👉🏼I DID THE DANG THING.

I quit moving things from today’s To-Do list to tomorrow’s list. I started eating the elephant one bite at at time….and guess what I happened?

I ✨️IMMEDIATELY✨️ felt accomplished and high energy instead of overwhelm and frustration‼️ #funnyhowthatworks

This is my encouragement to all my fellow procrastinators who procrastinate til infinity when there’s no deadline. 😆👇🏼

One step at a time, one bite at a time…YOU GOT THIS. 💯

I’m curious, do you procrastinate?
